Amazing!

Last year I was in the middle of a color crisis, and my mom and I came across Synergy. We went in for a quick consultation and Quy, the master stylist, and owner was eager to help. I made an appointment the next day…and so did my mom! Quy fixed my color and gave me the best haircut of my life! The salon has a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere, and the employees just put me at ease. I always look forward to coming to Synergy and feel SO confident in my hair when I leave. In fact, my mom and I BOTH will be customers for life. Synergy gets a 5-star rating, but they deserve so much more! If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere, quality products, and great service you need to go to Synergy – worth every penny! (oh, and you need to try Euphora’s Elevate Finishing Spray when you go – lightweight but super strong hold)

MATTHEWS, North Carolina (May 17, 2010) – Muscle Team® 2010 is a high-profile social event to raise awareness and funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). The May 20, 2010 event gathers top athletes and coaches and pairs them with an MDA buddy; a child living with neuromuscular disease. In 2009, we also donated 25 gift certificates of 250 to MDA. Synergy Salon, in Matthews, once again joins in the efforts to support the event in the hopes of raising enough funds to send a child to MDA summer camp.

The camp offers a wide range of activities specially designed for children who have limited mobility. “It costs about $800 to send a child to camp,” Synergy Salon Owner, Ngoc-Quy Nguyen explained, “ and helping to raise money to help send kids suffering from the disease to camp is the primary reason we support the efforts of the MDA Muscle Team 2010 event.” Synergy Salon donated gift certificates worth$10,000 in services to help raise funds at the event.

Synergy Salon (www.snrgsalon.com) is located at 2325-A Matthews Township Parkway in Matthews, NC. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a dedicated partnership of scientists and citizens aimed at finding effective treatments and cures for over 40 neuromuscular diseases. MDA is one of the world’s leading national health agencies, fostering research and patient care.

MDA provides HELP and HOPE to the families served through a program of comprehensive health care services and research for a cure.

Synergy Salon announces long-delayed Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Matthews, NC: Synergy Salon announces the Grand Opening of Matthews's newest high-end multicultural styling salon with a Grand Opening Celebration and special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony conducted by Matthews's own Mayor, Jim Taylor, Monday, April 25 promptly at 4:30 PM at Synergy Salon located at 2325-A Matthews Township Parkway, in the Sycamore Commons Shopping Center Matthews, North Carolina 28105.

The salon opened just before the business downturn in 2008. The Owner and Master Stylist, Quy Nguyen (KWEE WHEN), remarked on the salon's survival, “We could not have foreseen that, just a few weeks after we opened, the economy would shrink the way it did.” The salon’s survival strategies included: reductions in energy use; relying on a viral campaign of word of mouth and internet presence as a primary marketing tool; minimizing and delaying capital expenditures; and careful hiring. We even managed to win the title “Best of Citysearch.”

Now that the economy is showing stronger signs of recovery the salon is holding its long-delayed Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony. Says salon owner Nguyen, “The improved economy suggests that many people feel that the worst is past and it is time to go back to normal and celebrate having passed through a difficult challenge.” The Salon encourages other businesses and individuals to also celebrate their survival and a return to calmer and more hopeful times. Ms. Nguyen continues,” We know not everyone is benefitting yet, from the recovery. Still, even they will be helped as more people come to acknowledge their improved situation.”

Synergy Salon cordially invites the public to join us at our Grand Opening and Open House to showcase our full line of products and services and introduce our talented hair care specialists. “We are extremely excited about this event and the opportunity to engage our customers and the community to show how much we appreciate their business,” said Ms. Nguyen.

To mark the occasion the salon is having a drawing for a gift package worth nearly $200 in services. Each person who registers at the salon for a free style consultation will be entered in the drawing. The gift certificate includes color services, cutting, styling, facial waxing, and hair mask conditioning treatments. The winner may use the services themselves or may pass it on to a friend.

Ms. Nguyen further described how she want to help those who have been less fortunate. “Many people are still looking for work. I am going to give away free cutting and styling services for one unemployed person each Tuesday for eight weeks. The first four participants will be selected at the Grand Opening. Those who want to participate will need to bring proof of unemployment. The remainder will be selected later.”

As we continue to grow, we invite you and your family to come to grow with us. On behalf of the owner, stylists, and staff, we would like to say “Thank You” to our clients, customers, vendors, the entire Matthews community, and surrounding areas for your continued support in making Synergy Salon a better business.
